This page is in response to frequent request by students to get more experience and develop skills and Skippers' constant need for crew.
Note to Crew:
Skippers are looking for someone who will make a commitment to a minimum of three races. It takes time to orient crew to the boat and individual tactics. As much as skippers want crew, retraining a person each race is too difficult to be an option. Therefore be sure of your ability to commit before agreeing to serve as crew. Note to Skippers:
Graduates of A.S.A. Basic Keelboat have a newfound knowledge of names and functions of most of the parts of your boat but are limited in actual experience. All have great enthusiasm but would make use of some pre-race practice. Any knowledge you are willing to impart will be greatly appreciated and will no doubt make your boat go faster.
