perfect way to test the water and see if sailing is really for you.
You will learn sailing terminology, basic sailing theory, points of sail,
sailing maneuvers in a hands on 3 hour sail. Everyone will get to sail
and have their questions answered by a professional. It is a

 | Basic Keelboat Sailing: (A.S.A. BKB-101)
Prerequisite: None

The novice
will gain the knowledge and skills to sail a boat of about 20 feet in moderate winds / sea conditions in familiar waters. 12 Hrs. classroom
instruction covers Navigational "rules of the road', boat handling,
boating safety, and sailing theory. 6 Hrs. of on the water instruction
applies sailing principles, sailing maneuvers, sail trim, crew overboard
recovery, and anchoring. Earn a National Safe Boating Certificate approved
by the NASBLA & U.S. Coast Guard as well as a certification recognized
by A.S.A. facilities nationwide. Certification requires passing both a written exam and a
skills demonstration. Maximum of THREE students on the water
instruction ensures each student will have the time needed to master all the
skills required. This is an excellent beginner's

out of town. Class begins at 6:00 Friday evening and concludes at 2:00

Basic Coastal Cruising: (A.S.A
BCC-103)
Prerequisite: BKB-101 |
This class extends
on the knowledge learned in BKB-101 by taking a more in-depth look at topics
which you are likely to encounter when you move up to larger boats in varying
conditions and locations. New material will better prepare sailors to
take longer voyages in more challanging weather conditions. The student will
learn to read navigational charts, interpret weather / tidal
information, anchor, moor and dock with confidence. Class size is
limited to 4 students on the water. Course Cost: $295 per person or $250

 | Customer Appreciation Day (FUN-101)
Prerequisite: Alumni of BKB-101 or better |
Ruba will be
available for 2 hour slots from 8:00 am thru 6:00 pm. for graduates to take
out family and friends and prove your skills to admirers and doubters
alike. Crew size should be limited to 4 plus the Skipper
"YOU". Bring music, snacks, beverages and what ever makes your crew
happy. Odyssey Sailing School will be providing a continental,
breakfast, picnic type lunches, and a bar-b-que dinner. Don't fret
about docking or needing assistance I have full confidence in your instruction
and I will be a radio call away. If you are a boat owner and want to
